A Prayer

To have presence of mind
The keen awareness of what is
without prejudice, distortion or fear
So right action can emerge
Light showing the way

(Poem originally published in Chalkboard in response to Bindu Lamba’s Chalkboard prompt “presence”.)

In today’s maelstrom of politics and COVID, I keep reminding myself to avoid drama, judgmental accusations and “worse case” scenarios. To stay present in my heart-mind, listening for the higher truth trying to come through. To be content with not knowing and to act in service of the higher good. This is my goal and and my prayer.

  1. yes yes and yes … so simple to say, so difficult at times to embody

  2. Cathy Thomas says

    I love this prayer Barb.
James Gilliland has suggested to pray that anything that does not align with the Universal Law of the highest and best good of Humanity and the Earth be revealed and healed.

  3. Lee Ann Austin says

Same. Present in my heart/mind and noticing how I feel in my body where my truth lies and arises. Discernment is where I am staying, the inner body knowing what is. I am learning that when I trust that which is what I call God, I CAN. We are one, we are connected and we create energy which travels wildly throughout and “throughin”. LOVE and POWER to you. And remember what you told me a few days ago, if you are looking for the answers, you won’t find them in POLITICS. HAHA.
