More Background

I believe we are moving from traditional hierarchical organizations and relationships to sustainable, collaborative ones that recognize the creative power of each individual. Effective organizations, and community partnerships, will foster autonomy, passion and responsibility. I work with you to develop strategies to engage others as creators, effectively manage collaborative efforts and develop your own managerial and “creatorship” skills.  My background includes:

Consulting with not-for-profits to establish “creating with” partnerships that keep the ownership of the work and  results with partnering organizations or community members, while still offering the needed expertise. My clients include the ASAP Center, an operating program at The Health Foundation in Cincinnati.

Facilitating long-range planning for profit and not-for-profit organizations.  I’ve helped leadership groups in organizations and communities define common goals and develop shared vision.  I’m skilled in bringing together relevant stakeholders to identify the results they want and to identify and develop supporting structures and action plans. Clients have included Dana Corporation, Toledo United Way, Ashland Chemical Corporation and Ohio Hospice Organization.

Developing task forces and teams to enhance their effectiveness.  My team building is task focused, aimed at building clarity of purpose and effective relationships.  My clients have included St. John’s Unitarian (Cincinnati, OH), Food Division, Procter and Gamble, and the Sales Division, Procter & Gamble (Women Manager Support Groups).

Developing and/or delivering seminars on the creating process, personal power, chartering task forces, change management, and effective leadership.  I’ve delivered internal training for Great Rivers Girl Scout Council, Good Samaritan Hospital (Dayton, OH), AT&T, Riverside Hospital (Columbus, OH), and Procter & Gamble.

My coaching clients have included vice-presidents in health systems, financial planners, managers in not-for-profits, and health practitioners.

I’m trained in HeartMath® (HeartMath is a registered trademark of The Institute of HeartMath), and is a certified coach through The Newfield Network, a past officer of the Greater Cincinnati Professional Coaches Association, and a member of the Future Search Network.
